Sariah's birthplace and birthparents are unknown, even to her. She woke up with amnesia in an orphanage near the town of Eldust, a town close to the Capital, at the age of 9, not knowing anything about herself except her name, age, etc. She was soon adopted by Elisa Lockhart ,a locally famous singer and pianist, and Gerin Lockhart, a minor Church official and theologist.
Sariah lived the next 5 years of her life happily and modestly with her adoptive parents in Eldust. But, on September 5th, disaster strook Sariah at the age of 14. Her mother was mugged and, resisting, was shot and killed. Soon after the disaster, Gerin abandoned the church and turned to science and came up with heretical ideas and thoughts, still holding on to theology.
A gap had occured between Sariah and her father. And that gap only widened with time, eventually shutting each other off from the other. And so, Sariah lived in Eldust for three more years, before her life changed drastically...
-Present-Day- Actual plotline begins

Personality- Sariah is cold and empathetic to her father, usually making smart comments and talking back with great disrespect. However, around her friends, Sariah opens up, actually turning kind and loving. She is not a very social person, having trouble functioning with others in society, making her an outcast from most of society. To Gin, she originally acts very rude and talks to in a way reminiscent of how she talks to her father. However, Sariah secretly harbors great respect for Gin due to his people skills, being extremely honest with himself and others. Sariah has great respect for Nel as well, and doesn't try to hide it. She feels Nel is everything she isn't: understanding, kind, sympathetic, and motherly. She looks at Nel like a sister, often going to her when in need of advice or comfort.

Appearance- Sariah is 5'6 and weighs 120 lbs. She apparently is very good at losing weight and keeping it off, as noted by her peer and close friend Sephinie. Sariah has shoulder-length autumn hair, which she often keeps down. At one point in the story , due to getting much of it burnt off, Sariah sports a shorter cut. Later it grows, and she goes with flipping out her hair more. Sariah is a more busty female, compared to the rather flat-chested Nel. Sariah is often very unconcerned with her looks, unless she looks borderline-awful.
